Many websites
are rated lower since the new version of PageSpeed Insights recently released by Google. This is due in particular to the fact that results from the Lighthouse engine are now also used – one of the key innovations alongside the modified user interface.
PageSpeed Insights API v5.
The new interface is the first thing that catches the eye when you see the new design of the globally widespread and frequently used tool for analyzing the loading speed of websites. The Lighthouse Engine – also available as a local application – is mentioned in the release notes for PageSpeed Insights API v5 published by Google in November.
Chrome User Experience Report
The new tool version also displays user data from the Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX). PageSpeed Insights displays the loading status of the website at various points in time, a service that users are already familiar with from Lighthouse. The same applies to optimization suggestions. PageSpeed Insights – like Lighthouse – also reliably displays these to the user.
