This alternative text is stored and appears as a short description of an image or graphic that is not loaded. The alt tag is not visible to the user and is part of the meta information.

For an image file, the codes are stored as HTML elements in the source text. It is particularly important to use double coding characters instead of single quotation marks. An example of this could look like this:<img src=”bildtitel.jpg” alt=”More information about the image” / >

CMSs normally offer automatic implementation of the alt tag. When labeling, it is important to choose a description that is as short and above all meaningful as possible, as well as to name the main keyword. Keyword stuffing should be avoided.

From a usability point of view, the alt tag is indispensable. The alt tag is particularly advantageous for visually impaired people. It enables barrier-free access to all content, as the alt tag reads out the information on the image using screen readers.

Relationship between ALT attribute and SEO

As already explained, the alt attribute is important in order to be able to assign the content of the image. Search engine robots can neither capture nor index these images. The robots need meaningful texts that the crawler can find and process. Professional on-page work is required to tag these images correctly. If alt tags are missing, the user may be irritated and consequently leave the website. Another benefit of the alt attribute is to rank as high as possible in Google’s image search.

Definition of title attribute for images?

If you hover over an image with the mouse pointer, the title of the image is displayed. This is the title tag of an image. An example of a background for an image in HTML format looks like this:<img src=”Image title.jpg” alt=”more information about the image” title=”this is displayed when you move the mouse over it” / >

The title tag, similar to the alt tag, is necessary for search engine optimization so that Google can better capture the content of a page and its images and index them more accurately.

What is a title tag?

The title tag is a must for every HTML page. The page title displayed in the browser must be set individually for the URL. The title tags are also considered by Google during indexing. A short, meaningful text in the SERPs, which entices the user to visit the website, leads to a high ranking. In the <head> area, the title tag in the HTML code could look like this:<head ><title>Seo Marketing Cologne – Your Seo Agency</TITLE></head>

Optimization of the title tag

A precise labeling of the title tag is particularly important for search engine optimization. It is important to give each URL an individual and, above all, unique title tag. This is a decisive ranking factor for Google.

The length of the title tag can determine both the positive and negative impact of optimization. Google’s new rules do not specify an exact number of characters, as used to be the case. Nowadays, the size of the title tag is calculated in pixels. This means that a certain total width may not be exceeded by the characters of the title. Otherwise, the title will be shortened in the middle and thus discourage visitors to the page.

In the best case, the potential visitor is provided with good information in a natural way. An unnatural enumeration of all keywords would be counterproductive and anything but meaningful, as it is recognized by Google as keyword stuffing.

Users can be informed in advance about what to expect, as the title tag can be seen in the snippets of the SERPs.

[304

post-8620","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-lexicon
["GET
